Lesson 2: Drawing the Nose

There is SO much beauty found in simplicity. And that's how I like to approach many things when it comes to making art.

In my early studies, I discovered that drawing a cute nose is more simple than we sometimes make it. It's amazing how you can draw a nose with just a few shapes! (The main shapes are just a squished oval with an upside-down triangle underneath.) When I discovered this simplicity, it made drawing adorable noses so much easier.

The stump makes all the difference here too. Even try drawing with your stump for soft, subtle shading. (A dirty stump works great!) If you don't have stumps though, no worries. Head to your bathroom and grab a Q-tip. 😆 Believe it or not, they work great for blending!
